15+ years building production software, most of it in Ruby on Rails (Rails 5–7, Ruby 3) with solid JavaScript/Vue.js on the frontend. I've led engineering teams, migrated legacy systems off Java and PHP onto modern stacks, and shipped integrations with Stripe, Salesforce, GraphQL, and a dozen other APIs — across fintech, healthcare, EdTech, and e-commerce.
Currently a senior engineer at Vista Higher Learning, and I take on select contract work solo through Rigby Software: Rails upgrades, API integrations, technical leadership, and rescuing systems that have gotten away from their teams.
